What are your hours?
We are by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm. All new clients start with an initial evaluation plus therapy visit. We do not accept same-day massage appointments.
Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance. We are a cash-practice only. In addition, we do not offer coded billing for insurance reimbursement.
How long will I need Release Muscle Therapy?
Every person is different and every situation is different. Some people may need minimal amounts of care vs others may need 12 weeks or more to get them back to feeling good and performing all their activities again.
Do you only offer massage therapy?
Massage therapy is one of the many tools we use to get you feeling better, out of pain and moving well again. We use hands-on therapy, corrective exercise, nutrition and lifestyle advice, stretching and progressive relaxation activities as well as a host of other therapeutic protocols designed specifically for your needs.
How do I get started?
The process starts with an initial phone call. Normally this takes about 10-15 minutes. I’ll ask you to briefly describe what you are struggling with and what you have done to date to deal with your issue. I’ll also ask some basic health history questions and answer any questions you may have to ensure we are good fit to work together.
How are you different than regular massage, trainer, or chiropractor?
We go through the process of finding out what you need in order to be successful and help you get to your outcome. This most often involves many more than one single modality, and all programs are custom-tailored to your needs based on your individual evaluation and response to the program.
Why do I need an evaluation?
As mentioned, every patient is different. We will do a full posture, movement, and mobility assessment, breathing assessment, take a look at your lifestyle, nutrition, sleep and other health habits, and current exercise routine to custom design a plan for you. The evaluation gives us a baseline so we can prioritize your therapeutic plan and measure our results along the way.
What is a CES ?
A CES, or corrective exercise specialist is a personal trainer with an additional level of certification. A CES works to correct imbalances which in turn leads to better movement and less pain. Most CES-certified individuals also work as personal trainers, massage therapists or chiropractors.
